Eligibility criteria to submit a RAP for the BSc in Applied Accounting to Oxford Brookes University

Useful for ACCA students

A student is eligible to submit a RAP for the degree of BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting of the Oxford Brookes University (OBU) if the following criteria are satisfied:

The student must be registered with Oxford Brookes University i.e. opted-in to the BSc degree scheme, via myACCA webpage.
The student must pass the three ACCA Applied Skills examinations: Financial Reporting (was F7), Audit and Assurance (was F8) and Financial Management (was F9).
The student must have passed (or gain exemption from) the other six papers at the Knowledge and Skills Level.
The student must complete the ACCA Ethics and Professional Skills module (or the previous Professional ethics module) by the published deadline before submitting a Research and Analysis Project to Oxford Brookes University.

Also, a student must have in mind the following:

To be awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting a student must complete and pass the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project (RAP)
The degree of BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting must be completed within 10 years of the earliest of the date of your first ACCA examination pass or the date of your first ACCA exemption being granted otherwise your eligibility will be withdrawn.
Be up to date with the payment of ACCA subscription fees.

Class of BSc degree in Applied Accounting

What class you will be awarded?

The class of BSc degree will be based on two factors as follows:

1. The grade gained for the Research and Analysis Project.

2. The student’s numerical average mark from ACCA exams in the Fundamentals Skills papers (F4–F9) that have sat and passed.

In case that the calculated average mark is not a whole number, the calculated average will be rounded up or down accordingly.

If the student has been given an exemption from any of the three papers F4–F6, no mark is available and so will not be included in the calculation of the student’s ACCA exams numerical average mark.

The class of BSc degree in Applied Accounting for each combination of ACCA average mark and Research and Analysis Project grade is shown in the following table.

For example, a student with an ACCA average mark of 62 and a grade A for the Project will be awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting with Upper Second Honours.

We must not forget the practicality and convenience of payment. Everything is done in a safe mode and clear to the eyes of the buyer through a few clicks. Simply select the mode of payment, report the address of delivery the merchandise and give the card information (prepaid or credit), unless you choose to not pay at the time of delivery (in some cases are possible), and the game is done!

Too many reasons in the world to shop online: selection is mind-boggling, shopping is secure, shipping is fast. Even returns are pretty easy. Nowadays online shopping has never been easier for consumers. Shopping online is convenient and rewarding, and the vast majority of online transactions go through safely.

The role of the Mentor and the Mentee

Different roles of Mentor and Mentee

The Mentor is not expected to be your tutor and must not teach you about the Research and Analysis Project (RAP). Your mentor is there to guide you and to ensure that you are meeting the required standards. Your mentor must not amend or submit your RAP for you. Also, the mentor is not expected to have specialist knowledge within your project topic area or of academic research methods. Your mentor does not play any part in the assessment of your RAP beyond the certification provided to Oxford Brookes University.

The Mentee is expected to work alone. You are recommended to read the latest Information Pack for guidance. You should not have to ask your mentor what you have to do to pass. You should not expect your mentor to give you detailed advice on the structure and content of your Research Report or to write any part of the project for you. Those decisions and actions are solely your own responsibility. Your submitted RAP must be your own work and your research must have been undertaken specifically for your RAP. You cannot take a workplace research or consultancy report and adapt it for your RAP.
