According to Parsloe (2000) Mentoring has been defined as:
“the purpose of mentoring is to support and encourage people to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be”.
The mentor is not a teacher or tutor and should not teach the student about the project. The mentor is also there to occasionally guide the mentee and ensure that he or she meets the required standards. The mentor should not modify or submit the Research and Analysis Project for the student.
